Rhythm Works Integrative Dance Certification

Rhythm Works Integrative Dance Certification: Back Again by Popular Demand!

Featuring Tricia Gomez and Guests with a brand new certification for dance teachers and school owners. The Rhythm Works Integrative Dance Certification Workshop will open new doors for educators and potential dancers who love the art of dance.

The Rhythm Works Integrative Dance 3-day certification workshop is designed for dance teachers and educators who wish to teach dance to people who may have Autism, Down syndrome, and other learning differences. You’ll acquire an introductory understanding of sensory integration, physical therapy, and behavior analysis, as well as how to customize dance activities and classes to complement existing therapy goals. 150 hip hop dance steps are categorized across 31 sensory, physical, and cognitive categories. Games and activities provide opportunities to practice social skills, generalization, ideation, communication, and more!

In addition, you’ll walk away with an understanding of the following:

  • Working with special populations
  • Identifying learner types
  • Learner specific teaching strategies
  • Developmentally appropriate choreography structure
  • Rhythm identification and teaching strategies/activities
  • Developmental progressions
  • And more!

Besides just being fun, the intention of such a comprehensive dance program is to aid the brain in developing new neuro-pathways to learn new skills, organize executive function, and attend to daily activities!

Certified Rhythm Works dance teachers work closely with therapists, academic teachers, and/or parents in Phase 1 to become familiar with the personality, goals, sensitivities, and best practices of each child. Building trust and familiarity are also important parts of making the transition into group classes as easy and comfortable as possible.

Rhythm Works Integrative Dance is based on the “Hip Hop Made Easy” Program that is offered in over 2000 studios and schools worldwide.

The program utilizes the hip hop dance steps found in the “Hip Hop In a Box” and “1-2-3 Dance” interactive choreography kits.

All attendees receive a FREE 1-year Gold Membership subscription to the Rhythm Works Support Community (a $240 value). Access resources, videos, music, marketing ideas, continuation education webinars, and forums!
